The first sensor for the permanent measuring of ammonia with long-term stability
The Dräger Polytron C300 with its integrated electro-chemical DrägerSensor NH3-AL allows for a continuous, long-term measuring of ammonia. The technology can withstand a permanent exposure to ammonia without drifting. The measuring accuracy compares to high-precision optical systems. Changes in temperature or air humidity, as well as other gases usually found in animal houses have no influence on the sensor's sensitivity. The sensor does not require any calibration during its lifetime.
Bringing climate control to the next level
The Dräger Polytron C300 is specifically designed to be connected to standard climate computers in livestock housings, thus enabling a more efficient climate control. The device delivers a constant signal via a 0–10 V output that can be used for real-time monitoring of the ammonia concentration or be used as an additional steering parameter driving the ventilation output. Upon request, the device can be expanded by a 4–20 mA output.
Better judgement on climate quality in livestock housings
When using the device, the farmer gets a better and more objective idea of the ammonia concentration in the animal house throughout the entire rearing cycle. This additional parameter on the house's climate quality enables for more precise actions improving the climate and controlling the level of ammonia as a toxic gas known for its negative influence on the livestock's respiratory health and their overall performance.
Easy installation directly inside the animal house
The device can be placed directly inside the animal house. Not using pumps or tubes, it only requires connection to a climate computer via the analog 0-10 V output. By default, the device is equipped with a hanger which enables you to install it from the ceiling. As an option, the device can be mounted on the wall or other vertical elements, using the wall mounting kit. For the animal house's cleaning process, the device may be easily disconnected from the cable and reconnected after cleaning.
